The forestry postdoctoral research mobile station was established in 2014 and relying on forestry discipline which is "Zhejiang Province Peak discipline" and "Key discipline of National Forestry and Grassland Administration". Currently, more than 100 postdoctoral researchers have been enrolled, in which 30 postdoctors are in the station. The research mainly focuses on cultivation and utilization of southern characteristic dried fruits, forest carbon sequestration, cultivation and utilization of bamboo forest, cultivation and utilization of precious tree species, protection of wild animals and plants, understory economy, excavation of functional components of forest plants and biological intelligence.

The forestry discipline of Zhejiang A&F University has been ranked third in the Soft Science Best Discipline ranking in China for 6 consecutive years (2019-2024). The discipline has 14 national talents such as Yangtze River scholars and national Jieqing, and 2 provincial special experts; It has a national teaching team, an innovation team of the Ministry of Education, and a Huang Danian-style Teacher Team among National Universities. There are more than 20 national and provincial research platforms, such as the National Key Laboratory for Development and Utilization of Forest Food Resources, the National Key Laboratory of Subtropical Forest Cultivation Co-founded by the Province and Ministry, and the National & Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of the Efficient Preparation Technology of Biopesticides, etc. In the past five years, it has presided over 10 national major and key projects, including National Outstanding Youth Fund Projects, National Key Research and Development Program Projects, National Fund Key Projects, International Major Cooperation Projects, and more than 100 other national projects; More than 1,000 papers have been published in internationally renowned journals such as PNAS, Nature Communications, Science Advances, etc., supporting the field of "Plant and Animal science" of our university to enter the top 3‰ of ESI global ranking. The discipline has stable research direction, profound accumulation and good experimental conditions, which can provide necessary support for the research work of postdoctoral researchers.
